It looks like we will play Warcraft in some forms on our cellphone, immediately. In his latest financial statement, Activision Blizzard revealed that currently has warcraft games in the work of cellular devices. The details are slim at this time, but we know that the game will be here at some point this year.
The mention of the Warcraft cellular game was short and included near the beginning of a long financial report for the fourth quarter of the Fiscal Blizzard Activision 2021. Give us this year’s recap for each main component of Activision Blizzard – Activision, Blizzard, and King – we also get some statements Looking forward to what we can expect from 2022.
“Blizzard plans new content for Warcraft franchises in 2022, including new experiences in the world and Warcraft and Hearthstone, and getting warcraft content all new to the player’s hand for the first time,” said press release. That’s all the financial statements said, so, unfortunately, we jammed imagined what this phone game was until Blizzard revealed more.
As a note of IGN, Warcraft’s cellular game rumors have made a round of years, first growing in 2017. This is not the first time we have heard of warcraft cellular games that are developing directly from Blizzard, as a confirmed company has a number of cellphone titles in developing last year . Now, it looks like at least one of them is ready to be launched.
The only real feeling we must continue comes from writing Kotaku 2018 which is mostly about the Diablo franchise, which reports that Blizzard has a Warcraft version of Pokemon Go in development with one of his incubation teams. While we are not sure what the ultimate fate of the game is always possible that the Blizzard game refers to his press release.
One thing is certain: Warcraft series can use a little love after a disaster which is the launch of the Warcraft III reforged and the rather cool reception we see towards the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Whether we will find that in cellular games there in the air, and we doubt that many of the faithful Blizzard will want to switch to a smartphone to get their Warcraft kick.
For now, we just have to wait and see what the next Blizzard announces. There are many things in the works in Blizzard HQ, including Diablo Immortal, Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, and survival games that use completely new IPs. Between all that and Microsoft Acquisition which was delayed, 2022 must be a big year for Blizzard Activision, so we will tell you when there is more to report.
