In his press release for the fourth quarter financial results 2021, Activision Blizzard has revealed that he has a plan to release Warcraft for cellular this year. The CEO of the Bobby Koticc company told investors a year ago that the developer made “diverse, mobile, free Warcraft experience” which was already in advanced development at that time. Blizzard has not revealed more detailed information about more concrete games and timelines, so it is not clear whether the release plan includes all that experience or just a little.
There are rumors about warcraft cellular games since at least 2017. In 2018, the report came out that Blizzard was working on cellular entries for franchises that would be similar to Pokémon Go, which might mean that it was a title of augmented reality. According to my city report, it was being developed by the “incubation” team formed when Co-Founder Allen Adham returned to the company 2016. The team was also behind the Mobile Game Diablo Immortal coming out this year, too.
